Get up and Goals!

What is it about?

“Get up and Goals!” brought cross-cutting topics of the 2030 Agenda to the classrooms: climate change, gender equality, global citizenship, migration, poverty, and sustainable development. Using the approaches of Global Citizenship Education (GCE), it tested and promoted new educational paths. Project activities included teacher training, exchange of good practices, awareness actions on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an engagement campaign for teachers.

What changes does this project inspire?

European teachers, school managers and institutions, in charge of education, are more aware of Global Citizenship Education and of the SDGs. Teachers have developed new competences and learning materials to teach about the SDGs and to support their students. Students have improved their commitment to combat climate change and poverty, and to promote gender equality, global citizenship and sustainable development. “Get up and Goals!” also increased the coherence and quality assessment of Global Citizenship Education learning outcomes in formal education.
