1Planet4All

Project complete, from February 2020 to June 2023

What is it about?

“1Planet4All” raises awareness and critical understanding of European youth about climate change as a global threat and barrier to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It inspires their active engagement in concrete actions for safe, inclusive and “climate-smart” communities.
“1Planet4All” fosters the active citizenship of European youth to address Agenda 2030, by enhancing the sense of inter-dependency, personal responsibility and solidarity between the Global North and the Global South – for a sustainable future for all.
“1Planet4All” supports teachers and media to communicate about the complex issues around climate change. It organises journalist visits and highlights stories from communities directly affected by climate change.

What changes does this project inspire?

“1Planet4All” is helping over 8.5 million young people in Europe to gain a better understanding of the impact of climate change at global level, including on migration. It is highlighting the urgency for both individual and collective action.
A new generation of around 148 000 young leaders is being inspired, trained and up-skilled to become agents of change. They are encouraging their peers and decision makers to take action in their daily lives to fight climate change and to strive for structural change. Finally, thanks to this project, over 26 000 young Europeans are developing concrete ideas and taking action to tackle climate change and its related issues.
