supporting global change
Empowering European citizens, especially young people, to take action on some of the biggest issues facing Europe and the world today through campaigning and advocacy or global learning actions.
About the DEAR Programme
The European Union’s Development Education and Awareness Raising Programme (DEAR)
supports projects that engage Europeans in worldwide issues of
social, economic and environmental development.
The DEAR Programme works with civil society organisations and local authorities to promote global justice, human rights, sustainable development and democratic participation.
The Programme is managed by the European Commission’s International Partnerships Directorate, with the assistance of the DEAR Support Team.
